About
Sen is the DP and Critical Systems Regional Director for Europe and Africa. Sen has the overall responsibility for the development of consultancy services in DP and critical systems such as electrification, hybrid power systems for ships and instrumentation in Europe and Africa. His current responsibilities include managing a team of experts with research abilities and maintaining an up-to-date technical standard in related system design, system analysis and surveys. Sen has managed projects involving the design of hybrid (diesel/battery) DP-2 vessels, fuel cell/battery hybrid ferry, hydrogen barge, cold ironing of ports, powering of port service vessels for zero carbon emission, emission benchmarking of SOVs and CTVs, performance review of several zero-emission hybrid DP-2 vessels built by various shipyards, and vessel emission metric development for SOV and CTVs.
Sen is a Charted Engineer, Fellow, and professional review interviewer of IMarEST and leads the sub-group of the Special Interest Group with IMarEST developing the technical requirement for Maritime Autonomous Surface Vessels (MASS).
Sen has experience of over thirty-nine years in electrical and instrumentation systems related to the marine and offshore industry covering a variety of engineering and management positions for a range of commercial shipping companies, leading classification societies and consultancy services.
