About
Amit Kamo is a Master Mariner with over 29 years of cumulative experience in the Maritime Industry who sailed predominantly on Conventional Crude and Clean Petroleum Product Tankers, either tramping worldwide or conducting extensive Lightering Operations in US waters.
After stepping ashore as a Marine Superintendent in 2012, he was focused on HSEQ / Regulatory compliance, managing Audits, Inspections, leading Casualty Investigations, Crisis Management and Loss Prevention for a fleet of Crude / Product Conventional Tankers, IMO Type II / III Oil – Chem MR and LR2 Tankers and Dry Bulk (Panamax, Handysize, Handymax) carriers.
He has also worked with a major oil trading house managing Marine Assurance and Technical Shipping matters for the Group. Besides Vessel Screening as the Core function, he led Company Reviews – TMSA (Tanker Management Self-Assessment), MTMSA (Marine Terminal Management & Self-Assessment), SPSA (STS Service provider Management and Self-Assessment), managed SIRE Inspections and Marine Safety Forums for Industry Stakeholders.
