Emek Ersin Takmaz

Emek is a Naval Architect and General Manager of ABL Group Germany office. He has remarkable experience in the maritime industry with very good technical and commercial knowledge of marine T&I operations.

He is a solution driven professional who was involved in engineering, planning and execution phases of marine T&I operations. During his career, he has provided solutions to wide range of clients in oil & gas, renewables and shipping sectors worldwide. He has prepared and reviewed engineering calculations, drawings, method statements, risk assessments as well as other technical project specific documents. Being in close contact with related stakeholders, he has also attended and coordinated the loading, discharge and installation of special project cargoes, components for offshore wind farms, fixed oil platforms, floating production and storage units as well as pipelines.

He has worked as a project manager leading multicultural teams to serve through all stages of complex medium-large scale projects ensuring safe, high quality results and full customer satisfaction.

Besides, in different functions, he also took part in modification, upgrade and repairs of barges and vessels being in close cooperation with shipyards, flag authorities, classification societies and subcontractors. He carried out vessel surveys to assess the suitability for the intended operation and compliance with applicable rules and quality standards. He has been involved in various investigation cases on behalf of the vessel owner and prepared various attendance and inspection reports of vessels, operations, cargoes and damages. Before joining AqualisBraemar LOC, he worked as Head of Projects Engineering in heavy lift shipping company Hansa Heavy Lift GmbH, Hamburg and was previously with the EPCI company McDermott Middle East.
